Duck, Duck, What??

When our children were small we would bring them forward for communion and the pastor would lay his hand upon the top of their heads and provide a blessing: May the Lord bless you and keep you all the days of your life.
When Skyler was about two he was playing in the nursery with other kids during choir practice. We walked in to get him to leave, and while the game might have been intended to be duck, duck, goose (or duck, duck, grey duck in Minnesota) he was placing his hand on each child’s head as he walked around the circle and said: Lord bless you all your life. Lord bless you all your life….
